Our Tibetan Pulsing House is a former sawmill, romantically placed near a river with rainbow trout. The village Todtmoos-Au is situated at the upper end of the beautiful Wehra-Canyon in the southern Black Forest. About 700 m high, equally far from Freiburg and Basel, it is part of Todtmoos, an area of clean air and climatic healing, just 5km to the north. This is the core of the Black Forest, with protected nature, waterfalls and picturesque valleys. When the weather is good, you can see the Swiss Alps from the height of the mountain range and the Vosges. In the surrounding nature there are plenty of possibilities for tours and slopes for skiing, sledding and cross-country skiing in winter, in summer mountain-biking, gliding, trekking and much else. In Todtmoos there are tennis courts and a swimming pool. In a nearby village, the traditional craftsmanship of glassblowing can be observed by visitors. Just five minutes from our home is the Tibetan Gompa “Kagyu Benchen Ling” where we love to meditate, and next to it a park with dear and wild pigs to observe. The internally white dome of St. Blasien and the cave of Emma Kunz in Switzerland are precious places to visit, as well as the lovely Schluchsee for swimming and exploring by boat.
